The Company

Firecheck Contracts Ltd was established in 2000 but had been providing services to the fire trade for 25 years as Solus and Firecheck. Firecheck Contracts Ltd provides a professional and highly motivated support service by designing, supplying, installing, commissioning and servicing all types of fixed fire extinguishing systems.

As suppliers of extinguishing products, we have to select the correct and appropriate extinguishing product for any specific risk to meet clients’ and insurers’ needs.

As the range of solutions is wide and varied, we ensure we are competent in the entire field of products available.

We are able to offer fixed installations that comply with all necessary and relevant standards such as LPCB, UL and FM, and which are designed strictly to manufacturers’ design criteria.

Firecheck Contracts can offer solutions for all these requirements. Our services are based on cost effective and impartial equipment selection.

The Team

Robert Stout

Robert has worked in the fire industry since 1989, during this time Robert has gained a huge amount of experience on installation of Gaseous suppression systems, he has had full training in the design and installation of Inert and Chemical suppression systems as well as HSSD, Restaurant, Watermist, and Foam systems. Robert has worked all over the UK as well as the middle east and far east on projects ranging from small single cylinder suppression systems, to huge “off shore” oil and gas platforms in the Far east. Roberts’s major role within Firecheck is its ongoing support to Fire trade customers as well as forging new relationships.

Lisa Ayres

Lisa joined Firecheck Contracts in June 2006 taking on the role of Accounts/Office Manager, having bank/building society and accounts experience since 1984.

Steve Begley

Steve is the latest addition to the Firecheck Management team, joining the Company in April 2010. Having had a varied career, he began working in the Fire Industry in 2002 with one of the large Multi National Companies, and then spending almost six years with a smaller Company specialising in Gas Suppression and Water Mist Systems. Having had this experience, Steve has been brought in to further expand the Servicing and Room Integrity Testing services offered by Firecheck whilst promoting Firecheck within the Fire Industry. He works closely with Rob Moore and Lisa Ayres to ensure that the customer’s requirements are met and satisfied.

Mark Thompson

Mark has worked in the Fire Industry since leaving school. As an apprentice at Graviner and on through some of the major Fire protection companies before establishing Firecheck. Mark is experienced in all types of extinguishing systems from restaurant systems through gas, dry chemical and foam systems. Mark has worked on major gas and oil projects throughout the world and is responsible for engineering and design at Firecheck.

Rob Moore

Rob has worked in the fire suppression industry since leaving full time education over twenty years ago. He is the customer liaison at Firecheck, and runs the installation aspect of all jobs including plant, materials, logistics and workforce. Rob has been involved in the design, service, installation and commissioning of many types of systems, including Inert and chemical gases, watermist and foam.

Steve Hall

Steve comes to Firecheck from a varied mechanical design background ranging from vehicle lighting equipment to quick release fastening systems and has been involved in designing fixed gaseous suppression systems for over eight years. In his previous role he also trained many UK and overseas customers in the design principles and applications for chemical and inert suppression systems. He works closely with Mark Thompson to ensure all engineering and technical activities undertaken at Firecheck meet or exceed all national and international standards but most importantly our customers’ expectations.
