The Team

  • Robert Stout

    Managing Director

    Robert has worked in the fire industry since 1989. During this time he has gained a wealth of experience regarding the installation of Gaseous suppression systems. He’s fully trained in the design and installation of both Inert and Chemical suppression systems as well as HSSD, Restaurant, Water Mist, and Foam systems. Robert has worked all over the UK and further afield on projects ranging from small single cylinder suppression systems in Slough to huge offshore oil and gas platforms in the Far East. Robert’s primary role within Firecheck is to oversee the provision of ongoing support to existing fire trade customers, although he is also actively involved in forging new relationships.

  • Lisa Ayres


    Lisa joined Firecheck Contracts in June 2006 taking on the role of Accounts/Office Manager, however her role progressed naturally to Director level. Her primary responsibilities are wide-ranging and encompass everything from looking after the company finances to managing the staff across all departments.

  • Jamie Blacker

    Sales Director

    Jamie has over 20 years experience within the fire protection industry and has worked successfully in various positions including design, project management and sales. He has a great understanding of customer expectations; he is dynamic, result-oriented and customer-focused. Jamie joined Firecheck in early 2016 in the role of sales director with the key responsibility of developing the Firecheck brand within the industry. During his time, Jamie has worked at the cutting edge of fire protection products and has designed and delivered the fire protection requirements for numerous critical environments including high profile data centres. A natural leader, Jamie also counts understanding client needs, problem solving and attention to detail among his key skills. His colleagues rely upon his focussed and driven approach to business and value his knowledge of the sector. He works closely with our new and existing clients to forge long term partnerships.

  • Marley Welland-Fulford

    System Design Engineer

    Marley started working for Firecheck in 2015. He initially joined as an installation engineer and during this time gathered a wealth of knowledge regarding many kinds of suppression systems. He has since taken his experience and applied it to his new role as an office-based System Design Engineer. Marley is in charge of finalising system designs and creating / supplying CAD drawings. He assists with a broad spectrum of design queries and enquiries and is also responsible for managing the LPS1204 audits and all associated actions.

  • Sarah Hitchcock

    Service Manager

    Sarah began working in the Fire Industry in 2006 and joined Firecheck Contracts In July 2011, taking on the role of Service Manager. Sarah has a great deal of experience in developing and maintaining professional customer relations and is well-versed in working to tight schedules. Sarah and her team look after the programming of all service works for Firecheck engineers throughout the UK & Europe.

  • Lisa Mair

    System Sales & Support Engineer

    Lisa joined Firecheck in 2014 having previously worked in the fire industry since 2007. Lisa provides customers with fire suppression proposals including Ansul R-102. She also assists Sarah with the service schedule and remedial quotations. Lisa has years of experience in customer service roles and uses this to provide a smooth and efficient turnaround on all requests.
